THE 1938 HURRICANE....

the chaos...and the aftermath.....following a near direct hit... ....and it been a near perfect day too.....

no one and nothing went unaffected............lives were changed forever.......

the carousel at the beach..................and the landscape and landmarks, all changed forever.....throughout Newport.........much of Rhode Island.......and the Northeast in general

You'd have to be 74 or 75 ....at least....... to remember the event....

so many more of us have heard accounts however......None of them good !
